Are you too afraid to come along to an Out in UL member’s meeting for the first time, because you don’t know anyone? Worried that someone could ‘out’ you and need reassurance? Want advice on coming out to friends or family? Or maybe you’ve had a friend or family member come out to you recently, and you don’t know how to react or what that might mean?
Whatever your reason, Out in UL’s Befriender’s Service is here for you. Anyone can avail of this service, regardless of gender identity or sexuality, and you can use our service in two different ways.
The first way is to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. From there, we can arrange to have two of our trained committee members meet you in an agreed location. This way is best if you want to meet someone face-to-face to discuss your question in a relaxed enviornment.
Alternatively, you can contact us anonymously using our new ask blog, outinul.tumblr.com. While this is completely anonymous and no one can see who you are, we cannot respond to anonymous asks privately, and your question may be seen by others, so please do not include any personal information. If you would prefer a direct response via the tumblr, please ask your question while signed in to a tumblr account, or by entering you email address.
There is no such thing as a stupid question, so don’t be afraid to get in touch, we’re here to help!
