Happy Trans Visibility Day to all our Trans friends! It's important to recognize that though the world has come along way in the last few decades, with decriminalisation, and marriage equality (ish) and it's great to celebrate all of those wins, the LGBTQ+ community still has a lot to fight for. Trans healthcare in Ireland is appalling, making medically transitioning incredibly difficult, which is damaging to the mental health of trans people who already have to deal with dysphoria on a daily basis. There are only 2 transgender specialist consultants in Ireland and the waiting list for HRT is over 2 years long, and requires a psychiatric diagnosis, which is seriously outdated. We are talking tacky dresses, confetti, balloons and streamers, maybe even a few baby pictures! It is looking to be bigger and better than EVER so don't miss out!
